The
first
thing
insurance
companies
look at
is driver
age. Normally,
the younger
the driver,
the higher
the insurance
costs.
The driving
record
is also
very important.
Even the
school
grades
can affect
premiums,
too.
Another
factor
will be
the value
or worth
of the
car the
teen will
be driving.
It costs
more to
insure
more expensive
cars,
as you
would
expect.
Plus --
how old
is the
car? Does
it have
a lot
of power
and sports
car options?
Another
factor
is where
you live...
in a high
accident
area of
a low
accident
area.
One
other
aspect
will be
the possibility
of the
teen being
on a separate
policy
by himself
or herself,
as opposed
to being
added
to the
parents'
policy.
Any way
you go
about
it, adding
teens
to a policy
is usually
fairly
costly...
so you
can do
your best
to reduce
the costs,
but if
there
is such
a thing
as really
cheap
insurance
for Chicago
teens,
I have
never
seen it.
And
with Chicago
Car Insurance
-- like
many other
items
-- many
or most
times
you do
get what
you paid
for...
good or
bad...
